Paul - President

Hi, I’m an MPhil student at Churchill. This is my second year as Streetbite president and fourth year with the society. Outside of Streetbite I enjoy poker and spending unreasonable amounts of money in cafes around Sidgwick. Looking forwards to a big year ahead for Streetbite!

Marcelina - Publicity and Fundraising Officer

Hi! I’m a second year MMLer at Peterhouse. I’m really looking forward to working as the Publicity and Fundraising Officer this year! I’ve been volunteering at Streetbite since my first year and had always enjoyed it.

Ari - Partnerships Officer

Hi everyone! I am a second year first-year archaeologist, and I am very excited to be Streetbite’s Partnerships Officer this year !

Noah - Logistics Coordinator

I am a second year HSPS student at Christ’s. Before Cambridge I worked in Calais as logistics coordinator with an organization distributing NFI to people on the move. Now I do logistics for Streetbite! This involves tracking stock, keeping equipment in good shape and organizing what we distribute. I am aiming to put together a more robust stock tracking system which would let us distribute higher value stock to more people.

Chris - General Member

Chris is passionate about tackling loneliness and building communities. In 2019 he completed a project where he met 100 strangers in 100 weeks, the 100 Coffee Project. He did a TEDx on this project and founded a non profit using the story as his inspiration. He was the lead of UNICEF’s Cook for Syria project in Melbourne raising funds for their work in the region. During the lockdown in Melbourne the 100 Coffee Movement delivered meals to over 1,500 vulnerable people and Chris is aiming to help Streetbite where he can!

Charity Bake & Craft sale

20/11/2021

On 20/11/2021 we held a Charity Bake & Craft sale at Peterhouse. We had lots of lovely donations from hand-painted flower studies, mushroom bookmarks to hand-knitted clothes!

10/03/2022

Thank you to everyone that came to our final event of Lent! We managed to raise £118👏there’s no better way to conclude the term than to get together with friends, sip some wine, and listen to classical and jazz tunes! Well done everyone!

Get involved

There are two ways in which you can volunteer with us- you can either make sandwiches or distribute them out or both! Making sandwiches is super easy, all you need to do is buy the ingredients (butter, ham, cheese, tomatoes- or whatever you fancy within being reasonable!) for which you will be reimbursed.  Make them, wrap them, date them, and put them away. If you want to distribute them, you will be meeting with a few other volunteers in the evening time, walking around the city centre and giving food and other necessities out. The shift you sign up for happens once every fortnight- unless you want to sign up for more, of course!
